Indie Spotlight: Firefight
Indie spotlight is a new series of blog posts where I play and review a game from an independent studio or developer. The very first in this series is Firefight by Sean O'Connor. Firefight is a WWII real time strategy game where you command troops on the battlefield. This one strikes a nostalgia chord with me because it is clearly inspired by the Close Combat series. When I was a kid I had these two Windows demo discs. One had Close Combat, and the other had Close Combat II:

Side Project - EHM 91 Database UPDATE #9
Time for another project update on the 1990-91 EHM Retro Roster build. I am super close to completing the farm teams with about 85% of the International Hockey League completed. I have the San Diego Gulls and Kansas City Blades remaining. When doing roster building I noticed there are many players who already exist in my database. Many players who played in the AHL that season also played games in the IHL. I am not sure how that worked exactly from a contract perspective. Whe
