Unless you have been living under a rock the last few weeks you have at least heard one gamer talk about Battlebit Remastered. The entire concept of BBR is magnificent. Its a first person, combined arms military shooter, running on low poly graphics, made by a team of four people out "battlefielding" Battlefield right now. I love everything about this game. The fact its made by passionate gamers who just want to put out an enjoyable product. The fact that it uses low poly graphics so practically anyone can play this game. The fact its combined arms, with Tanks, APCs, and choppers. The fact it has destructible environments. 254 player lobbies. Tons of weapons, gadgets, and skins. The fact the price tag is a fair number. The list of pros goes on and on. BBR comes at a great time where many are kind of fed up with the same old formula from AAA studios. There has been lots of over promise under deliver that has left many of us jaded. BBR gives the consumer exactly what it promises, just a super fun gaming experience.

I was initially worried about getting my hopes up. I was really excited about another indie FPS going by the name WW3. I was really hoping they could turn it around a put together a great combined arms title. After a disastrous re-launch and limited maps and game modes the game now sits with a mixed rating on Steam. Although, the game has good bones, the execution was very poor. The server stability at launch was dreadful and it turned off many people and I think one of the main reasons the game failed to keep a large player base. The entire experience was just disappointing especially for someone who invested in the game and bought a supporters pack. BBR on the other hand has really restored my faith in that a small indie studio can put together an immersive first person shooter experience.

At the time of writing this I only have a few hours of BBR under my belt. I can say with confidence this is the most fun i have had with a game in this genre for a long time. More fun than my experience playing ground war mode in the latest Call of Duty installment (that was my favourite part of that entire game). Seeing the success of this game really does bring a smile to this grey bearded gamers face. Seeing player counts for an Indie game reach 100K really puts the industry on notice. Stop putting your shareholders before your customers.

Ill get off my soap box now. Go check out Battlebit Remastered. Its fun. It can literally run on anything and it looks like they will be bringing tons of content to there game in the future.

Thanks for stopping by and reading my blog post. Like always stay safe out there gamers.
